Safe House
[Time Well Spent] Shows up well in its genre, nice to see Reynolds adding some serious Action/Adventure to his repertoire (liking him more and more...). -
Big Miracle
[Magnificent.] A glorious true story of teamwork, compassion, nobility, and people collaborating despite diametrically opposed viewpoints (hello Congress). -
Albert Nobbs
[Magnificent.] Close is astonishing, and not simply because playing against gender. Dazzling. As in Edward Norton and Cate Blanchett dazzling. (Oh ~ and the movie was fabulous as well!) -

Man on a Ledge
[Time Well Spent] A good time, perfect for a date or movie get-together where you want something fun, active, and extroverted. -
Another Year
[Time Very Well Spent] Recommended, but after two viewings still cannot decide what I think of this pair.. -
Contraband
[Time Well Spent (Barely)] The lethargic love child of Gone in 60 Seconds and The Italian Job. But Ribisi hits a second Qualifying Role, and is now officially in contention! That's always good... -
The Devil Inside
[Disappointing] A serious discussion of exorcism is one of those topics that must be handled well or not at all. Alas, this one should've been the latter. -

Back from a seriously scary health relapse in mid-October and returning to action. Kudos to my patient friends and colleagues, you're the best. New programs and more unrolling this year, here's to 2012!
