Creativity
- The ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination.
Though often considered to be the purview of painters, chefs, musicians, and other so-called “creative types,” creativity is a mental/emotional muscle serving as a hallmark of any skilled individual, be they attorney or acupuncturist, pet sitter or parent. Whether nurtured by profession or pastime, creativity also comes in handy when life presents its inevitable curve balls.
