Curiosity
- The eager desire to learn or know; inquisitiveness.
The old saying goes, “Curiosity killed the cat” ~ but did you know the rest of it: “and satisfaction brought it back”? In an overbusy, perhaps overwhelming world, it may feel better in the moment to escape, to turn the mind off. However, remaining inquisitive keeps one sharp and youthful, and can be cultivated by anything from structured classes to PBS to movies of things unfamiliar. Following are excellent examples of curious individuals and the ways in which their curiosity expanded their worlds.
Examples of Curiosity in Film
- An Education
- Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Back from a seriously scary health relapse in mid-October and returning to action. Kudos to my patient friends and colleagues, you're the best. New programs and more unrolling this year, here's to 2012!
