Faith
- Strong or unshakable belief in something, esp without proof or evidence.
Faith can be in a deity, in a value, in a human trait, or in oneself, to name but a few. It matters less what it is, than that we have it. It implies that something overarching is driving the bus ~ and that the bus is worth riding even when we don’t grasp its destination at the moment. Contrasted to spirituality (whereby we “plug in”), faith gives our lives mooring, context. Granted this can become overzealous and confining, but that is actually a different ~ a human ~ conversation. Following are excellent illustrations of people living with it, grappling with it, losing it, and finding it.
* It is worth noting that this conversation applies equally to those whose faith is in something injurious to others, that to them a “strong, happy, meaningful” life comes at great personal cost to those around them. That’s a subject for another day; we’re about personal wellness and the common good here at Film is Life, and the titles below support that view.

Back from a seriously scary health relapse in mid-October and returning to action. Kudos to my patient friends and colleagues, you're the best. New programs and more unrolling this year, here's to 2012!
