Hope
- The endurance of belief that a different future remains possible.
The wishful variety will suck one’s life down a vortex of passivity, leaving a miscarried life and a plaintive, “What happened?” at the end. My coach Thomas always said, “I feel so much better since I gave up hope!” Indeed. Rather, true hope brings endurance, vision, action ~ and very likely a way through. Following are excellent illustrations of people living, losing, and regaining the real thing.
