Legacy
- The lasting effect or evidence of our presence, the results of what we have wrought (or wreaked…).
Legacy is one of those things we don’t tend to consider until reaching the third act of life, but it actually warrants attention at any time. The way we treat others in high school informs who they become through life
(Young Adult) … the influence on impressionable minds can cost others their lives (American History X) … our handling of a single situation can inspire others for decades (Apollo 13) … and simply following the dictates of our conscience can resound through history (Schindler’s List). And for better or worse we sometimes get to glimpse it while we’re still here (but if worse, it means we have a chance to change it, right Ebenezer?). Following are excellent illustrations of legacies left intentionally, unintentionally, or merely thoughtlessly.

Back from a seriously scary health relapse in mid-October and returning to action. Kudos to my patient friends and colleagues, you're the best. New programs and more unrolling this year, here's to 2012!
