Self-Acceptance
- Affirmation or acceptance of self in spite of weaknesses or deficiencies.
Self-Acceptance stepping stone between Identity and Authenticity. Know, accept and forgive, and then live it out. Until taking one’s own inventory and accepting one’s human frailties and foibles, life cannot be strong or happy, but only compromised and internally conflicted. (Jeesh, bummer…) Following are excellent illustrations of people coming to accept themselves for who they are, or railing against their own unwillingness to do so.
