Zest
- Keen relish; hearty enjoyment; gusto.
Like its cousin Playfulness, Zest finds a certain joie de vivre in even the direst of circumstances. Unlike the generally gregarious and extraverted playfulness, zest can assume a quieter, more reflective posture as well. Zest is not only the gamboling calf, but also the singing canary and the Cheshire cat. Following are excellent illustrations of people meeting life with a genuine zest for it.

Back from a seriously scary health relapse in mid-October and returning to action. Kudos to my patient friends and colleagues, you're the best. New programs and more unrolling this year, here's to 2012!
